Day 267, August 29, 2013

Today was NNW's first meet and greet for

NNW's new year.  Lovely day, a bit chilly

and breezy, but still beautiful at Compo!

Good to see old friends and make

a few new as well.

Wonderful surprise!

My friend Barrie made me this amazing

scarf with the wish "I never have to

use it."  Barrie and I both love the summer.

But I will always think of her when

I wear this beautiful piece of art!

Thank you Barrie!!!

 

NNW Book Club

We read "Beach House" by

Jane Green, lucky for us,

Jane lives in Westport and

joined our meeting at

Compo Beach tonight!

Jane is warm, funny and interesting!

Look forward to reading a few more

of her books.  The next one is out

in March and is centered around Westport!!!

Day 265, August 27, 2013

Saw "The Butler" with

Peggy and Sheila.

Very good movie on many levels.

I certainly don't agree with the politics

of the movie, but it dealt with much

more than that.  Glad I went!

Day 264, August 26, 2013

David and I love Mexican food!!!

We had our place, Los Cabos.

They went out of business in December.

So, we have really missed our favorite

food and today decided to try and find a good

Mexican restaurant.  David used "YELP" and found

a place in Norwalk, I had seen their ad and we

decided to go for it!  Nice looking place, plenty

 of parking in the back and a nice rear entrance.

Once in, we see our old waitress, Diana from Los Cabos. The food was even better than LC, the place

is nicer and our waitress remembered our

drink order, so we now have our place,

Don Carmelo's, it was a good day!
