Day 307, November 4, 2012

Still no power, this morning the house
is 48 degrees, it got down to 46 degrees...

Hank and a pinecone, he keeps himself busy!

Al raking some of the leaves near the street.

Finally, a truck and workers!
But, they stayed just a few minutes and left,
still no power!

Hank loves sticks and now he
has a giant stick pile.
Love watching him play!

After playtime in the branches he of course
is coverd with sap...

Day 306, November 3, 2012

Still no power, but Michael has power in
Stamford.  So, off we go to shower and have
lunch.  Such a nice visit with our son
over wings.  Recharged again!

Our dear friends, Hal and Diane Zeidman are
moving to Arizona at the end of the month.
A little goodbye dinner with the
Mah Jongg girls, Peggy and the spouses.

Day 305, November 2, 2012

Still no power!  David and I go to the Zeidman's
for a shower.  David "works from home" at their
house.  Recharged again.  Dinner at the Bartolotta's.
Yummy dinner, lots of laughs, almost forget we
don't have power.

Must keep Hank busy and use up
his excess energy...

He can't believe how his stick pile has grown!

Day 304, November 1, 2012

Still no power.  They have opened Compo Beach,
so we take a drive.  The beach area's have been hit
the hardest, it will be a long clean-up and rebuilding.

Day 303, October 31, 2012

Still no power, and it seems we are probably
going to be without power for some time.
David and I decide to take a drive and see
what is happening in and around Westport.
We see two guys selling portable generators
off the back of a truck, very interesting!

This is the damage that is causing us all our
power problems...

David used his car to charge his cell phone and
ended up needing me to jump his car.
Good thing we moved the Avalon!

Hank's Canine Fence doesn't work without
power, luckily he doesn't know it!
But, we can't let him be out on his own.
David trying to burn-off some puppy energy!

If we get a lot of rain, sometime it goes into
the garage, David and I are ready.
Luckily, this storm didn't have very much rain!

Hank loves a football!

Went over to the Sareen's to re-charge.
It is Halloween and Isabelle is ready!

Day 302, October 30, 2012

Our power went out before the storm arrived!
I usually park my car in the spot above, but I
decided to move my car.  Within an hour this
pinetree came crashing down and would have
totaled the Avalon.  So, feeling lucky!
The power is out, but we are probably among
the lucky ones.  The storm had little rain, mostly
wind.  We have actually had much worse winds
in California with the Santa Ana winds.

Hank inspecting the damage...

Flipped the trash can holder on it's back!

The fallen tree is blocking our neighbor, Bob Brody's
driveway to his house.  We trimmed all the branches
and Bob has a chain saw and cut the trunk, so that
he can now pass.  Neighbors working together!

So this is what remains until Mark, our
gardener comes and cleans us up.

Hank relaxing in the aftermath.

Sitting in the tree, outside our bedroom window.

Day 301, October 29, 2012

The storm is on it's way.  Spent the day getting
ready.  Expected to hit tonight.  So, I guess these
 are the "before" pictures.

Getting some of Hank's energy out...
