Amazing, the turkeys are back again!
There are more than I thought yesterday.
The biggest surprise is that they can fly.
Many sitting in the trees in the wetlands.
Also, they keep track of each other, as one flew
off when Hank chased him and the others all
went the other way. The group called
out to him and a few went back for
him as well. The one Hank chased made
his way around the house and got back
with his family and off they wobbled.
Going back to look for his brother...
All together and ready to move on...
Sharon has decided to learn to quilt.
Very excited to have a partner.
Today's lesson, cutting with a rotary cutter.

If you have to go to a meeting, can't think
of a better place to have a meeting!
NNW meeting to approve next year's
board members. I will no longer have
a position on the board, but will always
be thankful for the friends I have made
with Neighbors and Newcomers of Westport!!!
And, I am a member forever, as I served
as President and many other roles
throughout the years.
Lea contacted me through Ancestry.com and
told me about this book written by my great, great
grandfather, Solon Hyde, he was with the 17th Ohio
Volunteer Infantry. Not only is it an amazing
account of his fighting in the Civil War, but also
his capture and imprisonment by the Confederacy.
The information in this book opened-up my
family tree and I was able to trace the "Hyde"
side of my family back to the 1500's.
They spent many years in CT, who knew?
Thank you Lea!!!
