Our backyard, so green but a bit
of gold and red slipping in,
Fall is on it's way...

Day 240, August 29, 2012

My dear friend, Peggy called and
wanted to know if I wanted to
meet at Compo Beach of sunset?
Yes, I did!

So pretty, so close,
so lucky!

The "parade" of boats
coming in from
Cedar Point Yacht Club.
They race on Wed. nights.

Day 239, August 28, 2012

Sewing and needed something fast,
so off the the Textile Shop in Westport.
Very old fashion, but in a pinch
they usually have that thing you
need without having to take a ride
to JoAnns in Milford.

Cash and checks only,
Usually only one yard cuts
or more.  Have been friendly
with the daughter of the
father/ daughter team and
now she will cut 1/4 yards for me.

Day 238, August 27, 2012

Al woke me and said "Terrie, they are back."
I should have know it would be a crazy day!

The trees are starting to drop things as Fall
approaches and the turkeys seem to love
whatever it is that is falling.
They come through our yard at least
once a day.  Usually in the morning, but have spotted
them at all times, coming and going.

Gobble, gobble goes the turkey...

Michael came by early, we dropped his car
off to be serviced, bagels for breakfast,
on to Dr. McBean the dermo, CVS,
lunch with David, picked up Michael's car
while he was at the dentist.  Decided we
would all go to Costco together.  We all
picked-up a few things and ended with
dinner at Costco, $10.64 for dinner
and dessert for four!  What a deal!!!

Day 237, August 26, 2012

The gun buying process has begun...
Cabela's in Hartford, CT
Wow, a big boy's toy shop.
My boys had a fun day!

Al's is the third in from the right,
Mossberg 500 in wood,
very cool.

David's is the first black
shotgun from the right.
 His Mossberg matches his car.

We then went to Cheesecake Factory,
so good and so bad all at the same time...
Any day with our boys is a good day!
A day buying guns together is
beyond for my boys!

Day 236, August 25, 2012

Lazy day at home, catching up on
all of my DVR shows and lots
of HGTV and of course,
playing with Hank!

Hank is a chewer and I keep a

He is so good with his front paws.

Every girl should have at least one dress...

A fun night out for Al, David, and I.
First, Bobby Q's for dinner,
followed by Frankie Valli and
The Four Seasons at the Levitt
Pavilion in Westport.
The Levitt provides over 50 nights of
free entertainment every summer.
With one night used as a fundraiser,
tonight was this years fundraiser
and worth every cent.  Great show!

David going Hawaiian style.

The beautiful river looking north,

looking south.

The Four Seasons bus, Frankie had a Town Car.

Oh, What a Night!

Lots of memories...

Always a pretty sunset at Compo Beach.

Day 233, August 22, 2012

Hank is such a big boy,
sitting on Mom and Dad's bed.
He will not jump up or down,
has to be lifted and now
too big for Mom to do the lifting.

Day 232, August 21, 2012

Another day, another turkey!
Woke-up, looked out the window and
there are turkeys in our yard once again!

Day 231, August 20, 2012

Yes, they are back!!!
I went to let Hank outside, opened the door and
see 30-40 turkeys!!!
Hank takes off running, we have turkeys running,
flying, and making a lot of noise.
Hank barking, I am screaming for Al
to come and look.  One turkey flew over my head
as Al looked out our bedroom window.

They all made it to our neighbors yard.

Hank watching the turkeys, as he has a
canine fence and can't go any further.
Always protecting his land and his mamma!

Looking at me, keeping me safe.

Almost finished with this quilt top.
Lovely Fall colors.
Started this quilt on a quilt cruise years ago.
Trying to wrap unfinished things up,
almost there...
