Day 298, September 29, 2013

When there is a will there is a way!!!
Hank loves to chew his bone and with
the cone that is impossible, but he
has managed to pick his bone up and
carry it around the house.
Tried to hold it for him while he
chews, not going for that, yet!

Day 297, September 28, 2013

Hank is hanging in there!
Meds help him relax and lots
 of love from mom.

Huge lesson learned on cutting fabric.
Tried a short cut and my blocks are too small.
Had been making the black and white
blocks for a swap.  Used the cutting mat grid
to cut my strips, only to find the grid lines are not
accurate and not all the same across the mat.
So, I will not be participating in this swap, but
will work with my blocks and make a quilt.

Day 296, September 27, 2013

Our sweet boy, Hank is doing well.
I had found a cyst on his left hip,
Dr. Noonan did a needle biopsy and it
was found to be inconclusive, he
recommended we remove the cyst.
So, Hank had surgery today.
Dr. Noonan does not believe the
cyst to be cancer, but we will
get the report back on Monday
or Tuesday.  I am feeling positive!
He will wear this cone for ten
days, until the stitches are removed.

Day 293, September 24, 2013

Wow, what a driving day for Al.
First, we drove David to the airport in NY for
his trip with Julia to Disney World.  We
brought Hank along for ride.
Then, Al and I went to The Big E!
Eastern States Exposition
West Springfield, MA
Classic Fair, lots of memories of taking
the boys to the Los Angeles County Fair.

Love seeing the animals!

This tired momma pig has eight little piglets.
Boy, could they eat!!!

The Clydesdale's are so big
and so beautiful, this guy weighed
in at 2250 lbs.!

Quilts, quilts and more quilts!
Been a good week for me.

I have made this pattern.

I am currently working on
black and white quilt squares for a swap.

This is on my list to make as well.
I will make it in blues, no greens.

A replica of the old CT Statehouse.

One day, Al and I will have
 a bear like this!

Lunch, pulled pork, delicious!!!

The biggest corndog I have ever seen!!!

You can get just about anything at the fair!!!

I love animals and always enjoyed my friend
Savina's stories about growing-up on a
dairy farm and her adventures in 4-H.
This brought back the memories of those stories.

The way to end the day, Funnel Cake!
Goodness!!!

Julia at Disney World,
waiting for fireworks at Epcot!

Day 292, September 23, 2013

I spent the day with Hank,
lots of playing going on!
This is him carrying his
bone around the house.

At the end of the day,
over eight balls and many
ropes and bones all around
the family room.

Ahh, is Hank just the cutest or what?

Day 291, September 22, 2013

Al, David and I went to
The Alden Sherman 2013 Classic.
The weather was a perfect Fall day,
on the first day of Fall.
Alden is our neighbor Jane's father.
He is in his ninety's and is a car
collector, the Weston Senior Center
needed to raise money so Alden
put together a Classic Car Show.
Brought back so many memories of
my dad, as he loved cars, racing and
being out and about.
