April 5, 2014

It is official,
I am a card carrying, pin wearing
member of Modern Quilt Guild!

Our Bee Challenge of the Month,
Half Square Triangles,
always fun!

Lori's Mother made her this
beautiful quilt before her son
was born, didn't know if
he would be a boy or a girl,
so she made it work for both.
Hawaiian Style Quilting,
all hand sewn and quilted!

Another beautiful wall hanging
done by Lori's Mother.

Sheri has been super busy!
A trip to Hawaii, a Hawaiian quilt
class, and a Hop!
This will be a pillow.

I just love this and consider it
a masterpiece!!!
Sheri made it for a girlfriend,
out of old dresses.
Just amazing, I may have to make this
sometime...  Maybe out of little girl's clothes.

Betsy made another baby quilt.

Eileen has joined us again.
Different twist on a Jelly Roll Quilt.

Eileen's Fabric Art.

Eileen made this quilt in
memory of her Mother.

Jen finished her Wonky Log Cabin.

Lovely HST in grays and yellows
with minky on the back.

Caroline's Spring Fling Quilt,
Love it and all scraps!

Sharon's One Block Wonder.

Sharon's JOSH pillow.

Parthena's Memory Quilt.

Michelle's Block of the Month Block.

Michelle's HST Quilt almost finished.

Gail knitted this month,
a beautiful scarf.  She was
looking for ideas to finish it,
we all felt it was finished.

Tonight was Painting with a Purpose
at Painting with a Twist - Westport!
We all painted for Donate Life,
an organization that is very special to me!
We were PWAT - Westport's
first Painting with a Purpose Event,
we sold out!!!
Lots of money for Donate Life!
Christy arranged the event,
her daughter Diane is waiting for a liver.

Kari, our fearless leader!
Always spreading the word
about organ and tissue donation!

The process of painting...

Barrie, Larry, Al and I
had dinner together, then
Barrie and I went on to paint,
with a purpose.
Always good to have friends support you!
